A Fall Guide to Charleston
Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze: Boone Hall is a very popular location each fall in Charleston. They are known for their elaborate fall festivities each season. Since pumpkin patches are not in Charleston, Boone Hall brings in pumpkins and creates their own. This is a perfect place to get those cute pumpkin patch photos without being near a pumpkin patch! They also have a corn maze, hayride, and lots of family friendly activities for the entire family. During the night, Fright Night is a fan favorite. Personally, I don’t like anything scary so I have never been but so many people love it!
Farmer’s Market: If you are downtown on a Saturday morning head to Marion Square to enjoy the farmers market. Nothing says fall to me quite like a cool morning walking through the farmers market. So many local vendors come and it is a great way to support small businesses. Once you are done at the Farmer’s Market head down King Street to continue your day of shopping!
Off Track Ice Cream: I have talked about Off Track several times before on the blog but I had to include them in this post as well. Off Track specializes in ice cream made in house and all the ingredients are local to Charleston. I love their Vegan flavors, especially peppermint chip. Each season they bring out several seasonal flavors and the fall flavors this season all sound incredible.
Deep Water Winery: I discovered Deep Water Winery this past May and have already been twice. The live music is one of my favorite parts but its also a perfect place for wine tasting and quality time with your friends. This is a perfect place to stop at on a girls weekend in Charleston or a bachelorette trip!
Citadel Football Game: If you are wanting to attend a football game, the Citadel and Charleston Southern are two schools in the area. The Citadel is in the heart of downtown so it is a perfect spot to watch a game before heading on King Street for drinks and appetizers. Nothing says fall like a good football game.
Ghost Tours: As I have previously mentioned, anything scary is not my cup of tea but Charleston is very well known for ghost tours. With Halloween in the fall, it is a perfect time to cross this item off your bucket list.
Outdoor Concerts at Firefly Distillery: I am so excited to be back in Charleston full time to attend some outdoor concerts at Firefly Distillery. This venue looks like so much fun and is a great opportunity to enjoy great music and drinks. The weather in Charleston during the fall is amazing so spend time outdoors while you can!
Food Recommendations: Charleston is known for it’s incredible food and I swear you cannot go wrong with just about any restaurant! Check out these posts for some of my favorite places: 10 Best Restaurants in Charleston or My Charleston Staycation Recap. However, I always recommend Brunch at Eli’s Table, Lunch at Basic Kitchen, and drinks and appetizers at the Vendue is a must!
