I finished my sixth semester of college a week ago and I cannot believe it is actually over. I have moved back home for my last summer before graduating and it still doesn’t feel real. I am so excited to be home and I will be taking full advantage of this time at home. I have spent this past week starting my new summer job, unpacking, and unwinding from a busy semester. I also gave the blog a little face lift and I am SO excited to be back to posting. I have so much content planned for this summer and I am so glad I won’t have school getting in the way.

My Semester Recap

I learned a whole lot this semester, more than I could ever learn from a textbook. This semester I took my last general education course and let me just say, it kicked my butt. I have never worked so hard for a general education course in my life but all my hard work paid off and I am just glad it is over.

I also received my student teaching placement and began working in the classroom. I was so nervous going into my clinical experience this semester but I learned SO much. My Clinical Educator was amazing and I am so grateful she opened her classroom up to me. I am so excited to begin my full time student teaching experience in the fall, although it still feels very unreal that I am wrapping up my college career.

Just as everyone can relate, Covid-19 played a big role in this semester. So much was canceled and postponed which I am glad was to keep everyone safe. I turned my lemons into lemonade and took advantage of being so close to Greenville and Charlotte. I took some day trips by myself to get off campus and explore the areas near my campus. I wish I would have taken advantage of being so close to these fun cities earlier because I had so much fun. My mom also came up for a weekend I loved hosting her!

This semester has taught me just how independent I am. Although this semester was far from perfect, looking back I am so grateful for the experiences that I had because I learned so much.

My Summer Plans

I am spending the summer in Charleston and I am SO happy to be home. I love this city and I am so grateful to be back. Although I loved working my blog full time last summer I am very excited to be back working retail. I will be working at one of my favorite stores on King Street. I started last week and I am already really enjoying it, I’m looking forward to the rest of the summer.

Other than blogging and working I want to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. Hopefully I will see some of my blog friends as well! I will be back to my regular posting schedule and I don’t want you to miss out on any of the content so make sure you are subscribed to the blog and following me on Instagram and TikTok to keep up with everything I am up to!
