I am sitting on my couch at home to write this blog post and it feel oh so good! I have had quite the busy month and ending it with a trip home to surprise my mom for her birthday was exactly what I needed. This week was filled with lots of studying and some amazing spring weather. Just like in every college outfits of the week post, I am sharing all of my outfits from the week and linking exact or very similar items so you can shop! I also am recapping my week and sharing all that I have been up to!
Last Sunday feels like it could’ve been a month ago! You all know I love a slow Sunday and that was exactly what I had. My morning was spent filming some videos, catching up on homework, and cleaning. I deep cleaned and decluttered my entire apartment which was much needed. I never knew how much stuff I could accumulate in such a small space. It seems that I always do multiple rounds of spring cleaning to declutter and minimalize so I am sure I will be doing it again sometime in the next month!
I’m sure you have all noticed the pattern of my weeks by this point in the semester. I have made it a routine to spend every Monday at my clinical placement. I spent a half day in the classroom and then headed back to campus to get a jump start on my homework for the week. It was freezing today and honestly a dress wasn’t the best option but it is a perfect spring dress. I am heading home at the end of the week so I have been spending the majority of my time trying to get ahead so I can take some time off over the weekend.
Tuesday is my long day of classes and today was no different. I had back to back classes, meetings, and study sessions until 6 so heading back to my apartment at the end of the day felt so good. Once I was back in my room, I showered, made dinner, and got in bed early. I have been so tired and my 6 am alarm each morning isn’t helping me catch up on sleep!
The weather on Wednesday was sunny and 70 degrees, exactly what I needed after what feels like 3 straight weeks of freezing rain. I broke out my favorite tennis skort and spent my entire day studying for a huge test. I’m currently taking my last general education course, Oceanography, this semester and let me just say it is kicking my butt. I don’t have any classes on Wednesday and honestly, I don’t know what I would do this semester without having this extra day to get work done!
Today was test day so my morning starting off early for a quick last minute review session and then I headed to class for today. My test was hard but I was happy to just get it over with and start my weekend. It was another beautiful day on campus so I went for a walk. Getting some fresh air and vitamin D completely shifted my attitude for the week. I also spent my afternoon packing and getting ready to go home for the weekend.
I put in a half day of clinicals today and had such a good day in my classroom. I’m so excited about the remainder of the semester and my student teaching experience in the fall. I left my school after lunch and hit the road and headed towards Charleston. The trip was so easy which is always appreciated and surprising my mom went perfectly. I spent the rest of the evening with my family and enjoying the night at home!
Waking up in my own bed on Saturday was the best feeling. My mom’s birthday was today and we celebrated by walking the bridge and then grabbing brunch downtown. We went to Biergarten Charleston and it was incredible! I had never been but I will be going back. The patio was so cute and the live music created the best atmosphere. We headed home to shower and then we made a huge charcuterie board for dinner. I had the best day and thoroughly enjoyed being unplugged from social media. I changed into one of my favorite Lilly shifts for dinner and I swear, this style is the best Lilly has done. It has a built in bra and I love the cut out in the back.
