I cannot believe that this weekend is my last weekend on campus for the semester. This has been the fastest and slowest semester all in one and I will be recapping the whole thing soon on the blog. This past week has been filled with lots of clinical hours, final projects, and doing my best to avoid burn out. Finals “week” always seems to be a couple weeks for me as an education major because the majority of my finals are projects. If you have been keeping up with my past college outfits of the week posts you would know that I have been working on final projects nonstop. I completed quite a few this week and it feels so good to finally see my to do list get shorter instead of longer.

Unfortunately, with all of the added stress of finals season the blog has taken a back seat the past two weeks. This semester has been so much harder than last semester and maintaining a schedule has been difficult. I’m looking forward to getting back on track and increasing the quality and quantity of blog content soon.

Sunday

I was supposed to have a photoshoot today but it got canceled at the last minute so I headed out with my tripod to shoot a couple outfits for the week by myself. I try to avoid shooting with a tripod but sometimes being away at school I don’t have a choice. The rest of my day was spent getting ahead on some assignments for the week and preparing for my last week in my clinical placement for the semester.

Monday

I headed into my clinical placement for a half day of observations this morning. I’m obsessed with this cardigan, it is perfect for any business casual dress code! Since I only had to complete a half day of observations, I headed back to my apartment to crank out more work in the afternoon. The weather has been chillier this week and I am always dragging just a little bit more when we don’t have good weather.

Tuesday

I had another full day of classes today and forced myself to be as productive as possible in the morning so I could relax after class in the evening. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m starting to feel so burnt out from school. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and all I can think about is moving home for the summer. Once I completed my homework for the day I spent some time catching up on All American and scrolling through TikTok for longer than I would like to admit.

Wednesday

As I am sure you can tell, I completed more observations this morning at my clinical placement. Because I was getting closer to finishing up my hours, I only spent a half day at my school. It has been on the chillier side this week so I haven’t been able to wear my favorite dresses and skirts which made me sad. However, these paperbag pants have been some of my favorites for teaching this semester! My roommates and I started packing up some of the items we don’t use everyday from the kitchen and living room to get a jumpstart on the move out process.

Thursday

I had in-person classes again today and just like Tuesday, I was doing homework all day. Several of my professors have given us “writing days” to work on our final projects during class which have been very much appreciated so I don’t have to work on them outside of class but these writing days definitely take a lot out of you when you’re just writing papers for 4 straight hours without a break. I submitted a couple big projects and assignments today so all the hard work is paying off but having some “me time” has been so important to avoid burn out.

Friday

I went into my clinical placement for the last time of the semester and I have to say I was sad leaving! My experience flew by and I am so grateful to have had such a good placement. I will be back in the fall and I’m looking forward to my official student teaching experience! When I got back to campus I finished my clinical experience portfolio for the semester and then spent the rest of the evening catching up on some YouTube to enjoy a break from school work.

Saturday

It was a very cold and rainy day so I stayed in my apartment all day to get some work done. I had plans for the day that unfortunately had to get canceled due to the rain but it was probably a good thing for me to be stuck inside to finish up some more work. I’m trying to push through all of my assignments so I can get them all done before next weekend so all I have to do is study for my two final exams. It was a very slow Saturday which is what I think I needed after a busy week and to prepare myself for the week ahead.
