Holiday Outfits of the Week

I cannot believe I am sitting down to recap yet another week. This time of year is always one of my favorites and this year is extra special because I graduate college in a week! This week I headed home to spend Thanksgiving with my family and had the best week. I’m heading back up to school today, one last time, to finish up my semester and student teaching before I complete the move-out process!

I slept in Sunday and had a slow morning in the apartment which felt so good! I didn’t have any homework to complete so I took some time to get new blog content edited and drafted. Now that holiday drinks are back, I also treated myself to a peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks. It was necessary because I then spent the rest of my day packing up my apartment and loading my car. I packed up as much stuff as I could to bring home to make move-out day a little easier!

I headed into my student teaching placement for a shorten week due to Thanksgiving break. This week started my “give-back” weeks so I wasn’t full time teaching anymore which was such a nice break. I was able to go observe some other teachers in the school as well which was a nice change of pace than my typical student teaching schedule. I came home from school, finished packing, and put on a Hallmark Christmas movie before heading to bed.

I was up bright and early Tuesday morning to head into school to teach my last lesson of the semester! I truly cannot believe my student teaching experience is coming to an end. I’ve been finishing up my student teaching portfolio and getting all my assignments and paperwork submitted so I can cross everything off my to do list! I drove home to Charleston and it felt so good to be back! My sister is also home for Thanksgiving so obviously a Cookout run was a priority once I pulled into the driveway!

I started my Wednesday by cleaning, unpacking, and organizing all of the stuff I brought home from my apartment. I’ll give y’all a full post-grad life update soon but for now my plan is to stay at my parent’s house temporarily. Then, I headed back to work to pick up some shifts! It felt so good to be back at Dress Up! We were busy prepping for all of the Black Friday releases!

Happy Thanksgiving! I got up and completed some blog work from bed and then headed downstairs to join the family and watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. My family always stays home for Thanksgiving which I love. We had a slow yet relaxing day and ended the night by putting the Christmas tree up!

I was up bright and early to get ready for Black Friday! I headed into work in the morning but got off a little earlier than expected so I met up with my mom to do some Black Friday shopping of my own before heading to the Charleston Place Hotel for their Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. It was such a fun night and the hotel looks absolutely gorgeous! My mom and I came home, put some pajamas on and watching some Christmas movies. Nights like these make me so grateful to be home!

I was up bright and early yet again to have a holiday photoshoot downtown with my mom. We also walked around and went into a couple of our favorite stores. All the Christmas decorations and lights are going up in Charleston and it truly is one of my most favorite times of the year! We came home to watch the Michigan football game (Go Blue ;)) and then my family and I headed out to the James Island Festival of Lights. This is something we do every year and is such a fun tradition!
