This semester I began my full time student teaching experience which means my daily outfits have shifted from your typical college student’s attire to business casual. I’m not going to lie, this shift has been a challenge as I haven’t had a dress code since I was in elementary school. However, I have found some cute pieces and put together some teacher outfit inspiration to share with you all! If you are ever in need of daily outfit inspiration don’t forget to follow me in the LiketoKnow.it app for exclusive content!
Teacher Outfit Inspiration
Elle Woods Inspired
This cardigan reminds me of Elle Woods in every positive way. I love the pop of pink, perfect for adding some color to an outfit and you immediately look put together and professional while staying comfortable! The scallop camis from J.Crew Factory will also be a favorite of mine because they are so comfortable! This is such an easy outfit to recreate and makes such a fun statement!
The Best Fashion Hack
The majority of my pants are some type of denim so I cannot wear them for student teaching. I know some teachers can wear jeans but unfortunately, I can’t. In order to make double the outfits out of what I already have, I have been tying a simple t-shirt on top of some of my favorite jumpsuits to create an outfit. This is a perfect way to make two outfits out of one, and jumpsuits are such a comfortable option when you are going to be teaching all day!
A Twist on the T-Shirt Dress
I love a t-shirt dress and this specific style doesn’t disappoint! The material is so soft and comfy which is always an added bonus! And I love the ruched detail on the side. It adds the perfect extra detail and dresses it up! I love to wear dresses to teach in because they are so easy to throw on in the morning and they are so comfortable! Comfort is key for me when I am going to be teaching all day!
Keeping it Classic
The sidewalk skirts from J.Crew Factory are some of my all time favorites. These will be a staple in my wardrobe for a long time and I love that J.Crew brings them back in new colors every year! They have a smocked waistband and pockets! I pair these skirts with just about every top under the sun but this short sleeve button down will be on rotation for the beginning of the school year!
Teaching in T-Shirt Dresses
I can’t help myself from sharing another t-shirt dress. One of my favorite ways to style a simple t-shirt dress is with a belt and some fun shoes. Whether it is sandals for summer or booties for fall the options truly are endless! I typically will throw a cardigan on as I’m heading out the door because I am always cold in the building!
