I have been doing a lot of thinking recently about how I write blog posts and I have been wanting to change things up a little but I never knew how. But then this morning at church it hit me, I love writing about fashion and taking outfit photos but I want to also post content that means something. At the end of the day I really don’t care about sales and what color the shoes are that I talked about but I love talking with all of you and really connecting with you all. I decided that instead of just sharing an outfit in a post and then signing off for the day, I want to share some actual information with y’all. Whether that be a little insight to my week, answering some popular questions, talking about some of my life experiences, and even just having a conversation with y’all. I want you guys to know that I am an actual person behind the computer screen who wants to get to know you and I want you to get to know me! I hope you guys like this new change and if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!
It is currently September 30th and wow did September FLY by! I had this post pre-written and ready to go live for all of you to read it but once I decided how I was going to reformulate my posts I wanted to rewrite this to start the new month off with my new posting routine. So here I am at eleven o’clock on a Sunday, dreading Monday morning ahead but I am so excited about this post! I am a goal oriented person and I like setting simple goals for myself at the beginning of the month and today I thought I would share some of those goals with you all. This way we can all keep each other motivated!
First off, this month I want to be better at reading my Bible. I love Bible Journaling but I haven’t opened my Bible much since starting school. I want to get better at just sitting down either at the beginning of the day or the end of the day and reading a couple verses or reading a devotion from the Bible app that I have on my phone (I highly recommend it if you need a suggestion).
I also want to get better at posting more frequently on my Instagram story. I feel like I struggle sometimes to think about what to post and other days I just don’t do anything exciting to take a picture or boomerang of. However, I feel like I get to know all of you so much better when I am active on my Instagram story and I absolutely love talking to all of you!
Another goal I have is to attempt to get up a little earlier in the mornings. I do not like waking up early for class but I also like having time to slowly eat something for breakfast and just chill in the mornings instead of rushing to get ready for class. I don’t plan on waking up early everyday but I would like to get better at waking up a little bit earlier a couple days out of the week!
I found this skort (similar) during the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale this year and I am so glad I bought it! My top is from Madewell. I originally saw it on Kayci Clara’s Instagram and I fell in love! She had the white one which was super cute but I chose black because my school’s colors are red and black and I wanted to have it as an option for game day! I made my earrings and my shoes are my favorite knock off Jack Rodgers which are from Shoe Show!
Thank you so much for reading this blog post! I hope you enjoyed the new format and learning about what goals I have for the month of October! If you have and post requests for this fall please let me know! I love hearing from all of you! I have so much fun content planned and I can’t wait to share it with you!
